Dear ol' Mum may never be far from your thoughts or perhaps your sweet Aunt. You know, the one who is always there for you, like the time she helped get you ungrounded for well... you know what. She leveled the score by reminding your Mom how she got caught for doing the same thing when she was your age. Then there is your Grandma to thank. No matter how old you get, she still gives you an Easter basket full of chocolate bunnies, Peeps and plastic eggs.

Hello, Farouche! How fun that you've started a blog! *And* are giving away something?! Can I resist? No. I cannot. And here goes my reason to prove that I am a worthy winner:
Actually, I have had your "P is for Pear" print as my favorite for quite a long time...well, relatively, since Etsy hasn't been around a long time. And when I was browsing recently for some options to decorate our bare walls, I found a treasure trove in your shop! Little did I know. So I'm pretty excited, and perhaps one of your biggest fans. Coincidentally, before I discovered the sassy baking tags, I discovered these Victorian-esque ones first, which I thought were nice mixtures of sweetness and irony--I love the old West block font print especially.
As for mothers. Aren't they wonderful? I have one regular, one in-law, and plenty of other people in my life who wonderfully mother and nurture. I would really have to choose which one to give these tags to...or not. I might even end up giving them to myself--I am actually thrilled to say that I became a mother three weeks ago. Our first, a beautiful boy, who came much too early and who we buried. Even though I don't get to hold my baby, I am every bit a mother as the next.
Given the circumstances under which our baby came into our family, I've been needing to keep myself more occupied right now and have returned to something I love--making food, as you can see by my blog. Specifically, I'm upping my baking repertoire, since service helps to distract from what's going on in our lives. A lot of those baked goods are going out the door to share, and these tags would make the package so much prettier.
The end. Happy Mother's Day!

I was going to say that I should win the lovely tags. I would give them to my soon-to-be-hopefully-when-he-gets-around-to-asking Mother In Law. She bakes very nice things and would love them!
After reading Erin's post above though (or will it be below once I post?) and think she should win them! She's every bit the new Mum even in sad circumstances and it sounds like her baking will be very deserving of your fab tags!

Aw, Helen, that's very nice of you. And pre-congratulations on your son's [impending] marriage!
