This is my ideal Sunday afternoon. We played dominoes in the yard, sipped a little vino and dined on awesome food with a good friend. Zac, shown above in yellow, was our chef for the evening. He made an elk stew with carrots, potatoes and leeks.
It was so buttery and rich... every bite was heaven.
Elk Stew
1.25 lbs elk meat
1 virile leek
3 humble carrots
3 peaceful potatoes
1 gaggle of garlic
-brown meat in oil with garlic
-sprinkle with flour
-add leeks, carrots
-add 6 cups beef broth
-add potatoes
-let simmer with 2 bay leaves,
