Postcard Project

Library lovers, bibliophiles, and snail mail enthusiasts this postcard project is for you!

One of my dear friends is a librarian trying to show that the community still cares about libraries. She has started a fun postcard project to show at the R-Squared Conference. If you are interested in helping all you need to do is mail her a postcard, or take a photo of one and send it to the URL below. You can write a simple note about why you like libraries, why you think they should not go extinct, what changes you would like to see, or even draw a picture! What ever you want to send in postcard form is truly welcome so get creative!

Oh, and if you include your return address she will send you a postcard from the conference.
Who doesn't love snail mail?!

wow! thank you Christy for spreading word of this project. I'm still busy scanning, uploading, and adding to the project. It has been an exhilarating experience! And you, my dear, have been such a champion of it. From this librarian, a HUGE high5 of gratitude to everyone who wants to participate. And it's true, I'll send a postcard back (which means, please include your return address) from the conference :)

I know I would be so sad if our local library closed. I have taken my eight year old there ever since she was in preschool. Now that she has a little sister on the way I can't wait until she can start teaching her to love books too!
