Punch of Red

To cha cha for words, is it just me or does this typewriter remind you of those exquisite high heel shoes, you know the ones with a with red soles, made by Christian Louboutin? This style 3 1/2-row Monarch Pioneer was made for only four months, from October, 1937 to Jan, 1938. Notice that the "O" is to be used in place of zero when typing expense reports for shoe shopping at Bergdof Goodman and Barneys. Well, a girl can dream can't she?

I have said it before and I will say it again, why do they not make office supplies this cool anymore?! These are classics for a reason.

Colorful Keys

These three charming typewriters, with their colorful glass keys, were all manufactured in the 1930's. They may have been originally designed as educational typewriters to help children learn the keys but, I know more than a few adults that would love to get their hands on one of these beauties.

Numerical Order

These adding machines make me feel like wearing a pencil skirt, cardigan and pumps all while trying to find an Automat to eat lunch at. Oh, and of coarse I would have a smart little jacket on with a satin lining in some wild color that perfectly matched the skirt. Ah, to be an office girl in the late 50's. Have you ever noticed how neat office supplies used to look? The best manufactures have done lately is make the red stapler and that glory is owed to the movie Office Space.

There are a dozen bad puns about numbers in my head but, I will save you the pain. Instead I will leave you with a bad number joke I remember from elementary...
